Seaside Studio

Florianópolis, Brazil

Aline Trindade designed this 88m2 (947sqft) seaside studio apartment for a couple that visits Florianópolis, Brazil from abroad annually, creating the luxury beachfront hotel suite that doesn’t exist, despite the island city’s global popularity.

The apartment takes color inspiration from the sand dunes and protected nature reserve that lies between the property and the Atlantic Ocean. It’s a clean, minimal aesthetic highlighted with a range of textures, rich, warm woods, and natural materials throughout, like the custom-made leather headboard and millwork unit that separates the kitchen area from the main living space. The furniture collection includes pieces by Brazilian masters young and old, including Jader Almeida, Guilherme Wentz, and Lina Bo Bardi.

Services: Full interior design services, furniture, and accessories selection. Custom millwork kitchen cabinetry and TV wall divider/ integrated pocket door. Artwork selection.

Green Urban Living

East Boston, MA

This apartment was designed as a green oasis on the waterfront in East Boston, Massachusetts. The second-floor apartment sits just above the bird-filled treetops of the plaza’s landscaping below, and together with a collection of tropical flora inside, the space is a lush take on the modern urban home.

The feature of the living room is a 15’-0’ long library wall, showcasing her client’s library and photography collections, highlighted by a collection of table lamps arranged throughout, providing a warm glow.

An interior garden of tropical plants adorns the south-facing corridor to the main bedroom, and a collection of outdoor potted plants and trees are the highlight of the terrace, along with the view of Boston Harbor.

Services: Furniture, accessories, and artwork selection. New finish palette and material selections
